CI Researchers Presented at EAAC15

EAAClogoThe 2nd European Advanced Accelerator Concepts Workshop (EAAC15) was held between 13th -19th September 2015 on the island of Elba in Italy. Cockcroft researchers Yuri Saveliev, Kieran Hanahoe and Guoxing Xia attended the workshop and presented results on novel acceleration schemes based at Daresbury laboratory’s VELA/CLARA facilities.

The EAAC has the mission to discuss and foster methods of beam acceleration with gradients beyond state of the art in operational facilities. The most cost effective and compact methods for generating high-energy particle beams are reviewed and assessed. This includes diagnostics methods, timing technology, dedicated and optimized injectors, beam matching schemes, beam dynamics with advanced accelerators and development of adequate simulation tools.
