Yes, it’s that time of year again, when pumpkins shiver with anticipation and carving tools sharpen their teeth.
In a fang-tastic afternoon filled with laughter, spooky vibes, and the unmistakable scent of pumpkin guts, a group of fearless members of the Cockcroft Institute summoned their inner ghouls and joined in the first CI Pumpkin Carving Competition.

Although some of the participants had not carved a single pumpkin in their lives before, the group created an impressive selection of spooky pumpkins and choosing the winner was not an easy task.
After a very close vote Daliya Aflyatunova (University of Liverpool) was declared winner of the CI Pumpkin Carving Competition 2023 and received a trophy to remember the day.
