After more than seven years at the helm of the Cockcroft Institute as its Inaugural Director and as Sir John Douglas Cockcroft Chair of Physics (jointly with the Universities of Liverpool, Manchester and Lancaster), Professor Swapan Chaterji (aka Chattopadhyay) will be leaving the University of Liverpool on 15 July, 2014 . Professor Chattopadhyay will be retaining his emeritus status, while pursuing his research and leadership aspirations elsewhere.
