Roger Jones (Physics and Astronomy, Manchester) has been awarded the honour of Fellow of the Institute of Physics.

The 17th Daresbury Dash, 25 June, 2 miles round the laboratory site. Conditions were warm and breezy, damp underfoot.
The winner in 10 minutes 50 seconds was Keith Middleman of CI and ASTeC. Hot on his heels were Andy Collins (11:28) and Joe Herbert (12:07). Louise Nickleson crossed the line in 13:40 creating a new womens record. There were 32 runners in total. (Click thumbnail for larger version)
