Meeting to Discuss the Laser Cavity for Photon Linear Collider

Informal presentations and discussion of the feasibility of the proposed laser cavity for the Photon Linear Collider  will be held in Conference Room 4 (CR4) at the Daresbury Laboratory on 10th January between 11am and 4pm. It should also be possible to join by video conference. Further information can be found below and at http://www.hep.lancs.ac.uk/LaserCavity/

Goals of the meeting:

  1. Review the feasibility of the cavity.
  2. Formulate the vital questions which still need to be addressed
  3. Suggest two kinds of possible R&D:
    • urgent studies within the next 6 months, for input to the GDE decision;
    • longer term studies to answer all the vital questions.
  4. Plan what will be done next.

    If time permits there may also be presentations on other technical aspects of the project.
