At the end of June 2010 Mike Poole will retire from Daresbury Laboratory after more than 43 years of continuous service. During his career Mike has made a tremendous impact, both nationally and internationally, on the field of particle accelerators. In order to recognise this immense contribution, and to help Mike celebrate his forthcoming retirement, a special symposium, “The Mike Poole Fest”, will be held at Daresbury Laboratory on the 29th June 2010.
A series of short talks will be presented, each highlighting different aspects of Mike’s career. The event will commence at 2 pm and will be followed afterwards by drinks and a buffet.
