How to get to Cockcroft Institute by air

Manchester International Airport is approximately 30 minutes by car from the Laboratory. Liverpool Airport is about 40 minutes away by car. Taxi and car hire facilities are available at both airports.


How to get to Cockcroft Institute by rail

There are frequent intercity train services to both Runcorn and Warrington Bank Quay stations. There are also local services from Warrington Central. Details may be obtained from http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.

 

How to get to Cockcroft Institute by road

The Laboratory is 5 miles south west of Warrington and 5 miles east of Runcorn, immediately to the west of the A56 near the village of Daresbury. It is 1 mile from junction 11 on the M56 motorway, which connects to the national motorway network via the M6 (6 miles east).
