Within walking distance of the Cockcroft Institute is the beautiful All Saints Church Daresbury which house the stained glass Lewis Carroll Memorial Windows.

Daresbury Laboratory is 5 miles south west of Warrington and 5 miles east of Runcorn, immediately to the west of the A56 near the village of Daresbury. It is located 1 mile down the A56 from junction 11 of the M56 motorway, connecting to the national motorway network via the M6 (6 miles east).
