Guidelines for preparing your electronic publication
We are adopting the same standards for electronic publication as APAC , EPAC, PAC and other accelerator conferences. Authors are requested to use the standard formatting templates for WORD or the appropriate style files for LaTeX. These templates and style files can be downloaded from the Joint Accelerator Conference Website (JACoW). Please click on following the links to access the necessary information for preparing your paper:
- Templates and style files
- Sample postscript file (contains detailed information about the paper layout)
- Hints for authors using WORD
- Hints for authors using LaTeX
- Preparing illustrations and graphics
Paper Preparation
The length of contributed papers is limited to 3 pages, and 5 pages for
invited plenary papers, the standard length for JACoW-style papers.
Authors must submit:
- the source file (LaTeX or WORD)
- all corresponding graphic files (*.eps, *.jpg etc.)
- a postscript file of the final version
- a hardcopy of the final version
Authors are requested to use their surname as the first part of a file identifier for their contribution, followed by a key word from the title. These must be used in the paper’s name, and also in the names of any associated files. For example, the files for a paper by Muratori on diagnostics should be named as follows:
- MURATORI_DIAG.doc
- name for the source file
- MURATORI_DIAG.ps
- name for the postscript file
- MURATORI_DIAG_fig1.eps
- name for included figure 1
- MURATORI_DIAG_fig2.jpg
- name for included figure 2
Before submitting the contribution please create a postscript file of the paper which conforms to the guidelines mentioned above. Check the size of the postscript file - an average size should be about 200 to 800 kBytes. Bigger files often cause problems during the editing process.
Paper Submission
Once the files are prepared for submission, please upload them to the Indico site in the slot for your presentation: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=39372
